Choose the top three furniture projects of 2018? At first, the task seemed impossible; however, we managed to narrow it down to these three finalists. Here was our criteria: great project management, on-time delivery and installation and innovative furniture selection. We sat down and looked at our list of 100+ projects for the year and as a result, these three projects stood out for us. We are very proud of our work for all our clients and especially these three.
WSG’s Top 3 Furniture Projects of 2018
#1. Our Top Pick – Mandrake
Mandrake placed first among our top three furniture projects of 2018. This complete floor installation – including wall systems – took place in the heart of Toronto’s Yorkville district. In project management speak that meant: no loading docks, very early morning deliveries and narrow alleys (which wouldn’t allow our trucks to fit!). As a result, we needed to work closely with our design and project management lead partners, westpark + associates. Together, we overcame the obstacles to provide this client with a seamless and on-time installation. Our furniture solution allows Mandrake’s employees to continually reach and exceed their potential in this exceptional workspace.
#2. Epic Investments Services – A Corporate Showcase
The unique mandate of this client put Epic Investments Services among our top three furniture projects of 2018. This client’s main criteria in selecting a furniture dealer? They had to be extremely customer-focused. WSG fit that profile and as a result, has since completed three projects for this company in the past year. Working with figure3, we turned Epic Investment’s workspace at 141 Adelaide Street, Toronto, into a working office as well as a showcase for prospective clients. The top quality furniture solution demonstrates to prospects how their own employees can work and function in a new office environment.
#3. Dyson – Precision Project Management
What made the Dyson installation so special that it rounds out our top three furniture projects of 2018? WSG transformed a very heavy wire management application into a very clean solution. We were able to conceal and manage their technology by providing an efficient workstation system, such as Herman Miller’s Layout Studio. Further, this client’s unique office was housed in a downtown brick and beam building, therefore presenting many physical challenges. WSG easily overcame these with laser-focused project management and our own in-house installation team. Working with Gio Tan Design, WSG supplied furniture to enhance a cutting edge work environment for this successful innovative company.
“It was great to look back at our huge body of work,” said Mitchell Cohen, Dealer Principal, WSG. “Our team is already excited for 2019 and we look forward to showcasing those projects in the very near future!”
