When the owners of Collingwood’s Vandermarck Hotel came to WSG looking for furniture, they had a very specific design aesthetic in mind: clean, quality, luxury, private and minimalist. WSG’s knowledge of Herman Miller product was key to helping create that look. The goal of this boutique hotel is to offer travellers an elevated experience with a ‘home away from home’ feel – for short or long-term stays. It was important to choose pieces that were iconic and made a statement. The vision is for travellers to walk into one of The Vandermarck’s rooms and immediately recognize the Noguchi table or the Eames Hang-It-All . “Plus, Herman Miller’s high quality, well-made furniture, made it perfect for hotel wear and tear that happens over time.
